Summary
Who You Are
The Data Scientist II will provide innovative solutions to achieve various business goals by analyzing and interpreting data. This person should have extensive knowledge of industry standard data analytics tools.
What You'll Do
  • Assure the integrity of project data, including data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing, and analysis.
  • Analyze data with standard statistical methods, interpret the results, and provide both written and verbal summaries and recommendations.
  • Produce solutions that will impact the Company’s bottom line within different aspects of the company, including but not limited to: Partnerships, marketing, sales, pricing, credit, and risk.
What You'll Need
  • 1+ years of work experience in the Financial Services industry focused on business analytics.
  • Proficiency with SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with A/B testing and/or building predictive models using statistical/machine learning techniques (e.g. CART, logistic regression, linear regression, random forest, XGBoost etc.).
  • Intellectual curiosity and aptitude to pick up new technical skills and domain knowledge.
  • Strong written and verbal communications.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics Math, Physics, Engineering or related quantitative fields.

    • Nice to Have:
  • Experience in consumer lending.
  • Experience with lending marketplaces (e.g. Credit Karma, Credible, etc.).
  • Proficiency with PowerBI.
