Who You Are

You are a motivated Analytics professional who is passionate about the architecture and capabilities of the Power BI platform. You excel at working together on a dynamic team, and have experience with all facets of the Power BI platform. You are a team player who enjoys building a solution correctly and thrive in a fast-paced environment where you can test and enhance your skillset.
What You’ll Do
  • The PowerBi Architect will design and develop tabular cubes/models for optimal performance and ease of use.
  • Develop, administer, and maintain reporting data models.
  • The PowerBI Architect will utilize their expert business intelligence (BI) and modeling skills to support enterprise reporting requirements
  • Administer Power BI Service including usage, capacity via Microsoft APIs.
  • The PowerBI Architect will be responsible for the architecture, design, development, coding, testing, deployment, debugging, administration integration, documentation, and customization of enterprise BI and analytic applications. 
  • Design/develop and deploy interactive data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Create Power BI dashboards, reports, and applications utilizing best practices
  • Collaborate with power users to develop metrics that track strategic initiatives.
  • Provide detailed training for business users on the benefits of leveraging reports, dashboards, and data models.
  • Establish a community within the company to increase proficiency, standardized approaches, and empower the data literacy of the organization.
  • Work within the business and technical project teams.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and data warehouse staff to determine business reporting and analysis requirements.
What You'll Do
  • 4+ years of experience working in PowerBI
  • Expert knowledge at the design of Power BI data models, data flows and data warehousing techniques to optimize the Power BI Platform.
  • Experience designing and developing data-driven views, reports, objects, hierarchies, filters, dashboards, metrics, and visualizations on the Microsoft Power BI platform. 
  • Thorough knowledge of DAX / Merge (m) techniques behind the Power BI suite.
  • Expert knowledge of the Power BI platform including query folding, data querying, and modeling capabilities, such as the creation of calculated columns, measures, and relationships.
  • Experience gathering business requirements, translating the requirements into technical report requirements, defining functional specs for reporting, and collaborating with architects, developers, and testers.
  • Experience with Microsoft tools (Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, etc.).
  • Solid practical knowledge of Azure Data Bricks/MS/Azure SQL: queries, dynamic queries, and stored procedures.
  • Experienced in creating reports from diverse sources.
  • Familiar with the ability to use rapid prototyping and iterative design processes.
  • Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude.
  • Able to help the organization set priorities, adhere to deadlines to meet goals, and adapt to schedule changes.
  • High level of personal, work, and professional ethics.
